It’s Tax time.

Chesapeake Financial Advisors & Charles Schwab offer automatic downloads of your tax forms. Schwab changed the 2016 mailing dates for the 1099 Composite and Year-End Summary tax report. This change was implemented due to an increase in the number of mutual funds and ETFs that reclassify their income in late January and early February. The IRS requires Schwab to send out corrected 1099’s when updated information is received from fund companies. Schwab’s intention is to minimize the number of corrected 1099’s by pushing the date. If you have not yet received all of your tax documents from Schwab an additional Schwab mailing is being sent out by February 26, 2016. If you would like to download your Schwab tax documents, log onto Schwab Alliance under the Accounts tab/History & Statements/Statements & Reports/Tax Forms. Please contact our office if you have any questions or have trouble downloading your tax documents. We are here to help.
